- Possess a PhD in the relevant field.
- Have a notable record of publications and citations in line with the journal’s scope.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to maintaining research integrity and ethical publishing standards.
Responsibilities of the Editorial Board
Editor-in-Chief (EiC)
The Editor-in-Chief holds the highest editorial role, overseeing the entire publication process with a focus on maintaining editorial standards and integrity. The EiC works closely with the editorial board, associate editors, and the publishing team to ensure the smooth functioning of the journal. Additionally, the EiC shapes the journal’s overall direction, ensuring its continued influence in the academic community. The contract typically lasts two years, with the option for renewal based on mutual agreement.
Responsibilities
- Defining editorial vision and strategic direction.
- Selecting content for publication.
- Ensuring adherence to high editorial standards.
- Making final decisions on manuscripts post-peer review and revisions.
- Recommending new members for the editorial board.
- Overseeing the editorial team and its activities.
- Managing the peer review process.
- Proposing special issue topics to expand the journal’s scope.
- Promoting the journal within the academic community.
- Writing editorials for the journal.
- Addressing research ethics and misconduct concerns.
- Participating in progress meetings to evaluate and enhance the journal.
Associate Editors
Associate Editors assist the Editor-in-Chief in manuscript decision-making and peer review processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring content quality and integrity, including manuscript evaluations and author feedback.
- Managing the peer review process for assigned manuscripts, including reviewer selection and editorial decisions.
- Supporting the editorial board and EiC, participating in editorial meetings, and assisting with new member recruitment.
Regional Editors
Regional Editors are responsible for content related to specific geographic areas.
Responsibilities
- Curating content from their regions that aligns with the journal’s objectives.
- Promoting the journal in their regions to encourage submissions.
- Enhancing editorial board diversity by recruiting region-specific members.
- Contributing to thematic issues focused on regional developments.
Section Editors
Section Editors oversee specific sections or thematic areas within the journal.
Responsibilities:
- Curating and commissioning content relevant to their section.
- Contributing to thematic issues on emerging topics in their field.
- Promoting their section and encouraging submissions from experts.
- Staying abreast of trends and developments in their area.
- Recruiting new board members for their section.
Editorial Board Members
Editorial Board members contribute to the journal by reviewing and promoting research.
Responsibilities
- Contributing or soliciting one manuscript annually.
- Reviewing 2-3 manuscripts within their field.
- Actively promoting the journal within academic circles.
Guest Editors
Guest Editors, appointed for a three-year term, are essential for developing thematic issues focused on dynamic research fields.
Responsibilities
- Proposing thematic issues, including objectives, scope, and keywords.
- Inviting contributors and potentially submitting their own work.
- Promoting thematic issues through conferences and social media.
- Overseeing the peer review process, with final acceptance decisions made in collaboration with the EiC.
PM Early Career Researchers Board
PM supports the professional development of early career researchers through the Early Career Researchers Board. Eligible candidates, within five years of completing their PhD and with at least five published articles in international journals, can join the board.
Responsibilities
- Contributing or soliciting articles for the journal.
- Participating in co-review activities.
- Promoting the journal and its initiatives.

Your profile will be reviewed by the Editor, and the outcome will be communicated by the Editorial Office. Editorial Board appointments are made based on the journal’s needs and the Editor-in-Chief’s discretion.
